Sid the Kid is BACK!

After a more then ten months and 320 days off with a concussion, Sidney Crosby of the Pitsburg Penguins, played his first game since January 5th, 2010.  Almost everyone in the media was speculating that it would take some time for the Boy Wonder to get back into form.  They were wrong.  Scoring on his first shot of the game, Crosby put all his critics to rest.  Remember the infamous Mario Lemiuex coming back after three years of retirment and knotching three point? Well, #87 “one-up-ed” him, with two goals and two assists.  In a single game, Sidney Crosby passed 337 other players in the NHL scoring race.  To put it in perspective, Daniel Sedin of the Vancouver Canucks has played 20 games and has 24 point.  At this rate, Sidney Crosby is on pace for 80 points in 20 games! Ryan Kesler is currently on pace for a 32 point season, Sidney…328! Odds are that Crosby isn’t going to rack up 328 points in a season, but that’s just how good he is.  Too bad the Canucks only play the Penguins once this year, the season opener, and it was in a losing cause, 4-3 in OT.

Cant’ wait to see how Sidney plays catch-up with the other 373 other players in the NHL for the Rocket Richard Trophy!
